Care Instructions

Our little tips and tricks to maintain your article’s top quality

THESE PRECAUTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED IN ORDER TO AVOID PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR STAINLESS STEEL ARTICLES.

In general

Manufacture's flatware, knives and utensils are manufactured with food safe materials, all of them are dishwasher safe (except for wooden or horn handles). Nevertheless they request special care and attention when using washing products.

before the first usage

Unpack the articles to ensure their whole perfect new state.
Hand wash them carefully with a soft sponge and a neutral and weak alkaline cleaner. Dry with a soft cloth.

care of use for a hand washing

To keep longer their bright finish we recommend to hand wash all the articles.

1

After their usage, rinse the articles in clear water in order to clean off any substances that may stain the steel (acid substances, salt, etc…)

2

The articles should never be left inside liquids for a long time. For example inside the kitchen sink filled with water.

3

Hand wash them carefully with a soft sponge and a neutral and weak alkaline cleaner.

4

Never use chlorine, bleach, or abrasive sponge which would damage the steel.

5

Limit the use of detergent products because they are corrosive.

6

To dry them we recommend the usage of a soft and non-abrasive cloth.

care of use when using a dishwasher

Our products (except for wooden and horn handles) can be washed in the dishwasher at a maximum temperature of 55°C / 131°F.

To preserve their bright finishing we recommend to follow these tips:

1

Rinse the articles before placing them in the dishwasher’s basket.

2

Do not overdose powdered soaps and rinse aid liquids.

3

Add dishwasher salt just when the water hardness requires it.

4

Refer to the dishwasher instructions documents for the correct usage of the different washing products.

5

We recommend to not use the all-in-one tablet and capsules because of their intense corrosivity. In case of several washing cycles the article lifetime duration will be compromised.

6

Dry the articles at the end of the washing cycle.

IMPORTANT !

In presence of ferrous metals inside the dishwasher (damaged baskets, jar lids, tins, etc..), rust particles can stick on the product’s stainless steel parts thanks to a phenomenon of electrolysis. Just superficial and light damages can be removed with a rubber or a special stainless steel cleansing product.

To stock our products

The articles should be well dried before storing them. Be careful to store them in a dry place.

Particular cases of damaged articles

Particular cases for cutlery and blades

For safety reasons and in order to keep the best cutting edge quality, hand washing is always preferable. For the washing machine try to keep knives blades always positioned downward.

The stainless steel used for blades and sharp articles is loaded in carbon to guarantee the best cutting, but it requires a particular care.

To keep sharpened objects at its best you should follow these tips:

1

The articles should never be left inside acid liquids or acid environments for a long time.

2

Always keep the products dry before store them or put them in a closed space.

Particular cases for acrylic and resin handles

In addition to the last 2 tips:

1

Never leave the articles near a hot source.

2

Never leave the articles in direct and long contact with sugary nor acid drinks, colored nor spiced sauces (coffee, tea, tomato sauce, curry sauce, etc..). Avoid long exposures to sunlight.

2

An overdose or accumulation of dish soap (particularly the powdered ones) can cause soap stains.

Particular cases for horn and wooden handles

In addition to the previous rules, you should follow two steps more:

1

Always hand wash them avoiding long exposure to liquids and water.

2

Dry fast after washing them, to avoid any damage.
